Boots is a 13 year old grey mackerel tabby who was, for a while, living with an elderly lady. When the lady died, her daughter took in Boots but was unable to keep him. She then took him to the Yolo County Animal Shelter. Boots is a very friendly, lap cat who loves to play and purr.
At the shelter, Boots was the “top cat” in the cat area. Because he was such a favorite with everyone at the shelter, he was free to walk around the cat area at night. Since he was 13 years old, the volunteers were worried that he might have to be euthanized because of how difficult it is to find a new home for an older cat. Boots was in the shelter for many months. But Boots finally got adopted by someone and in a “purrfect” ending, is now living in a warm and caring home.
